Support for Service Users

Depending on access privileges granted by the System Administrator, Service Users are able to transact on Corporate Online. Smartcard users have full access, and Token users have access to all aspects of the service, except operations which need to be 'Signed' and the authorisation of Payments and Transfers.

Getting Started Smartcard Users

1 Install software Installing your Corporate Online Software

A Card Reader and installation disc will have been sent with your Smartcard. This software needs to be installed on your PC. Ensure you are logged on with full administrative permissions on the PC; refer to your IT area for further support if required.

2 Change PIN Changing your Corporate Online PIN number

  • Insert the Smartcard into the reader; face up, chip side first. The green light will turn solid.
  • A pop up will appear titled Gemsafe Toolbox, if this doesn't happen then click here.
    • Click on the Card Administration option
    • Click on the PIN Management icon
    • Change PIN will be bold so click on Next
    • In the Old PIN field enter the PIN received to accompany card. Tab to the New PIN field and enter a PIN of your choice that must be between 6 and 8 characters, we suggest a PIN that is a mixture of alpha and numeric characters, please note the PIN is case sensitive. Tab to the next field and confirm the PIN.
  • In the Old PIN field enter the PIN received to accompany card.
  • Tab to the New PIN field and enter a PIN of your choice that must be between 6 and 8 characters, we suggest a PIN that is a mixture of alpha and numeric characters, please note the PIN is case sensitive. Tab to the next field and confirm the new PIN.
  • Once the PIN has been changed successfully a pop up will appear confirming this.
  • To exit this screen click on the cross in the top right hand side of the screen.

The next stage is to register the Smartcard.

3 Register your Smartcard Registering your Corporate Online Smartcard.

Once your PIN has been changed the card is required to be registered before use.

  • Click on the link below and enter your business email and contact telephone number.
  • Select the Save button and a pop up will appear.
  • Click on the Sign and Submit button and enter your new PIN in the next pop up box that appears.
  • Once the password is entered click on OK. You will be returned to the login page.

4 Contact your System Administrator Contacting your Corporate Online System Administrator

Advise your System Administrator that your card has been registered and is ready to be activated. Once the System Administrator has activated your card and allocated accounts and permissions you will be ready to login to Corporate Online.

How to use Corporate Online

Service Users are able to transact on all aspects of Corporate Online, depending on the access privileges set up by the Administrator. Smartcard users have full access, and Token users have access to all aspects of the service, except operations which need to be 'Signed' and the authorisation of Payments and Transfers.
