Deleting a Smartcard user

Before you delete a Smartcard user, make sure that any unauthorised payments created by the Smartcard user are deleted.

Select the Users tab

  1. Click the Service Users link

The Service Users screen opens

  1. Select the user group the user is attached to from the User Group drop-down list
  2. Click Select
  3. Check the tick box next to the name of the user whose Smartcard details you want to amend
  4. Click Delete

The Delete Smartcard User screen opens

  1. Click Delete

The Signing screen opens

  1. Check the details and click Sign and Submit
  2. Enter your PIN and click OK to confirm the action

The Service Users screen opens with a message confirming that you have successfully deleted the user.

Cancelling the security certificate

Once you have deleted a Smartcard, call the Helpdesk on 0345 300 6444 to cancel the security certificate allocated to that card. Calls may be recorded for security purposes and monitored under the Bank's quality control procedures
